Kobra has the Beats
Found another artist while perusing Spotify, this time it’s a producer from Somerset, United Kingdom by the name of Beats By Kobra. I ran into two songs that caught my ear, his most popular song, How Many Times featuring Aaron Ak and Mic Righteous, and his latest single Already Know also featuring Aaron Ak and Dpart.
Kobra clearly has range, as these two singles are vastly different. How Many Times features a chill but potent beat that definitely bumps in the whip, with lyrics and flows that perfectly accentuates the production with the United Kingdom’s coveted accent. The production consists of eerie synths, nocturnal drums that knock topped with glitchy hats that sit perfectly in the mix. How Many Times is a trap banger and I can see why it is his most popular song as a producer.
The second song, Already Know, is a vibe switch up. It has pop appeal, as it has a summery, upbeat instrumental complete with female vocal loops. With minor changes to song structure, Already Know could’ve been an electronic dance track. Also, as with How Many Times, Kobra and Aaron Ak have a certain chemistry that is evident in these two tracks. The energy brought by Aaron Ak, as well as the other features, add to the exceptional production.
