S.A.E is in the Chain Gang

I found another gem searching for new music and it comes from the duo hailing from Lumberton Mississippi, S.A.E. The name of the song in question is Chain Gang and it’s full of energy. The upcoming duo, made up of artists R.S.K. and Kp4bandz, released their first single of the year on February 11, crafting a song around their melodic and precise delivery with the perfect amount of vocal effects. 

As far as production, Chain Gang features a simple, but booming 808 that drives the beat layered with a simple hi hat and synth patterns. Don’t get it mistaken though, the main event of this track is the lyricism and vocalization. It’s mixed in a way that draws your full attention to the artists and lets you feel the rest subconsciously. My advice is to bump it in the whip to maximize on the potency of the song.

I don’t want to take attention off of their latest release but after listening to Chain Gang, I went back and listened to their 2021 album Sauve, Smooth, Savagery, and you should too. The project is a showcase of flows and melody with my favorite songs being Mellow and Moment of Truth. Their ear for production stands out to me as all of their beats are either lush or melodic, but always bumps with 808s, perfectly crafted for their melodic delivery.
